On a wet road surface or at low temperatures, the braking distance required soon becomes critically longer. The sooner your high beam illuminates a suddenly appearing obstacle or object ahead in the darkness, the safer you’ll be.

In a study carried out by the German daily newspaper F.A.Z. and the public-opinion company Institut für Demoskopie Allensbach, more men than women would describe their driving style as “sporty.” The study also found that men placed more value on better design and greater comfort, so it’s no surprise they’re willing to invest in their cars.
