If it’s not bright,
it’s not right

Remember the three OSRAM Facts of Light

See better and be seen better at night by keeping these three simple facts in mind:

Shining a light on a hidden issue

We take our car lights for granted. Just flip that switch and the road stretches ahead in gloriously lit detail. But did you know that those lights of yours will gradually grow dimmer over time? In fact, from the day they are fitted, some car lights will have lost up to 30% of their brightness after 500 hours of use.

Considering that an estimated 1.3 million people are killed on the world’s roads each year, (whilst over 50 million more are injured) the importance of headlight brightness becomes even more significant.*

These statistics make for even more sobering reading:

Every third family in Germany drives a car over 10 years old*

These statistics make for even more sobering reading:

In tests, every second car showed lighting defects*

These statistics make for even more sobering reading:

Every fifth car had a lamp failure on the way*

Light deficiency is now such an issue that it features highly on vehicle tests across the globe. In Germany, for example, the German technical inspection association (TÜV) evaluates it as ‘significant’.

So, what can you do to ensure that your visibility isn't compromised on the road after dark?
